I’m a London based Photographer and Lighting Cameraman with over twenty years experience. I have a deep understanding of the film industry, having started out as a Clapper Loader before working my way up to become a Focus Puller and then Camera Operator and Director of Photography.

Shooting stills or making films, I love lighting and I’am equally at home in a big studio lighting sports cars, photographing skin care products in my studio or setting up interviews in the field.

I have experience with virtually all the camera formats and am adept at shooting with small or large camera systems.

My credits range from music promos and commercials to drama and feature films, human interest and natural history documentaries, corporate productions and even 3D.

I’m creative and practical so whether working as a lone operator, as part of a small documentary crew, or as a member of a large production, I’m enthusiastic and strive hard to make the most of the shooting day. I’m passionate about composition, design and form and try hard to compliment and realise the vision of the director.

I’ve travelled extensively with work, staying in some wonderful, remote and formidable places, -40 to +40, arctic tundra, jungles and desert, so am quite used to getting equipment of various volumes through customs and around the countries of our crazy world.

This job brings continual surprises and demands flexibility, so whether it’s filming jaguars in the Pantanal or following the production of the Ford FocusRS or the ‘ups and downs’ of the Honda Endurance Bike Team, photographing the last Landrover 90’s being put through their paces or the ‘Race to Recovery’ Dakar team as they compete with exhaustion, harsh conditions and their own bodies… I’m always ready for the next challenge.
